Tugun Surf Life Saving Club Waves, Wedding Venue.

On March the 10th 2016 main Videographer/ Photographer of J'adore Rob Bampton and I ventured to Tugun to help shoot at the Surf club. The afternoon was setting out to be a great day with the perfect weather backing up our excitement for the next shoot.  Turning up to our Mock shoot, the theme was Modern beach with a fashion forward that HollyRose Couture is all about. Taya Jones, shows her vivid and creative imagination by creating these timeless pieces of couture set at reasonable prices

I've always loved the feel of lace on my skin, it's something exquisite about the texture. I believe with the right theme and style, it can make any women feel beautiful. One of the very first gowns our model was dressed in, was 'The Rebecca Gown'. With the hidden zip and button detail, The Rebecca is a multi design dress, thus meaning you have the ability,  to select a fully lined in Sheer, white or Ivory gown. If you’re wanting to substitute the fully lined style for a bohemian look, ‘The Rebecca gown’ comes with matching lingerie to complete the fashion forward look. Just to make things a little more unique, the gown shows off the models bone structure with the shoe string halter and the segmented back.

Brand owner of Holly Rose Couture, Taya Jones got a little more creative, by collaborating to clothing pieces together and looking at the finishing image it was a perfect ensemble. The Belladonna corset has complex lace details on the mesh corset that’s all hand stitched. Complete with a string lace corset back, this beautiful corset caters to any range of shapes and curves for those brides wanting to go strapless on their big day. The Belladonna corset comes in the options of complete sheer (as shown), Faux Sheer, or lined.  Adding to the Belladonna corset, the Je T’aime skirt is a full 10 layer tulle skirt. With the dreamy romantic feel of the silk satin lining and satin bow back. The beautiful pulled skirt is light and easy to wear, it’s perfect for any Rose separates.

One of the last gowns our model tried was the The Yassirra Ballgown. Looking at this beautiful dress, it is the picturesque form of a dream gown. The fitted stretch fabric of the bodice, allows for the precise fit, to all shapes and curves as it is available with both a hidden zipper with bridal button back or corset lace up. When inspecting the bodice of the gown, the hand finished lace detailing with the rose lace finish arm bands complete this sweetheart dress.  The Yassirra is one of HollyRose Couture fuller tulle ballgowns, perfect for any princess with its 10 layers of tulle.

I'd rather have flowers on my table, than diamonds on my neck. The smell of Freesia and Peionies is that sweet alluring scent, adding a Freesia/Peionie wedding flower bouquet to your theme will effortless tie in with these neutral colours. With the help of The Petal Bar, the team at J’adore was able to create a timeless event with all of the incorporated special themes. Daniel & Lynette's engagement party.

We started off at Marina Mirage. As the years go on, couples are getting more and more creative in ways to making their special days something unique with these personal touches.  Located just minutes away from the heart of the Gold coast, Daniel took the reigns and provided a fun experience at Heli tours. This services caters to scenic flights across the region’s hinterland, beaches and attractions that show the best of the Gold coast.

The adventure continued as the team made it's way to the Hope island Links Golf Course. There we were able to catch the last bit, both on photo and video of the couples decent before the festivities started.  Surrounded by Hope islands exquisite waterways, a red carpet adorned the wooden archway with white curtains at the beginning of the entrance.  All of Daniel and Lynette's loved ones had arrived previously preparing to see the couples introduction, and were waiting with excitement.

The themed planning of the reception was exquisitely done with in depth detail down to the red rose petals spread throughout the reception . As both the chairs and tables were draped with white cloths, simple yet sophisticated blood red ribbons were tied around.  As a closer look was taken around the reception colours of silver, red and white dominated the atmosphere creating an intimate and serene touch, this perfectly complemented these two joyful personalities.

Lynette started her own personal theme with silver tear shaped earrings perfectly complementing her long curled hair. To match the look, a deep red floor length gown, smokey eyes and diamante high heels collaborated perfectly with Daniels red themed tie comprised behind his black suit. The couple had so many photo ideas, from the quirky moments to the intimate still moments that no doubt you will look back on, their album will be full of variety.

Throughout the speeches, naturally their were tears and of course laughter. The foremost thing about having videographers at these precious occasions is so their is a physical memory you can look back on with the people you love. It's the endearing stories that Sharma & Pawelek families have to share on these two that shouldn't be missed. From the sly jokes that not many people know about until it's too late, to giving the mic to a friend as they share what makes the couple so important to them; engagement parties while not so popular is a perfect start to the rest of your lives.

One of the unique ideas about Daniel and Lynette's engagement party was the choreographed dance items presented.  Comparing the Bollywood style specially made for this occasion, and the traditional Polynesian dance items, your attention is instantly captured by their vibrant costumes, perfectly synced moves and dance style.

Getting the joy of comprising a physical memory for Daniel and Lynette was quite the fun journey in itself.  Being able to shoot these two individual people as they joined together was a wonderful experience. What was more relishing was being apart of an afternoon with this couple that is completely infatuated with the other for completely understandable reasons.

An engagement party shoot is the perfect way to kick things off with a physical memory you'll have forever on top of your own wedding video/photos in the Future. Check out the images/video below and write to us on  what you think about this engagement party, With so many experiences happening this jam packed video is a brief look in as to how much fun the night was. Imagine yours!

Abbey Cobaki- Scott & Sarah Reading

It’s that evident thing about love, the way it wraps you in its grasp, the tangible feeling of not wanting to let go even if you could. We all are destined to find our other halves, a particular part of us that we tirelessly search the world for. To have someone that was under your nose the whole time, it's a rare experience alone. Childhood friends, and now two people that want to spend the rest of their lives together. I don’t know what could be more captivating.

The J’adore team consisting of Rob, Jessica and myself found ourselves at one of the bride’s maids house. Family had gathered around to prepare for Sarah’s finishing touches, while also corroborating their own little twin pre dress outfits.

After we managed to accrue a few pre wedding shots, it was time for Sarah to put on her dress. With a mesh back incrusted with jewels that collaborated with embodied jewels on the front of her bodice. Her hair was pinned up in a bun with small curls intricately framing the sides of her face. The bridal party accentuated Sarah’s princess themed attire with navy blue, bodice floor length gowns.

Located 12 minutes away from Coolanagatta and Tweed Heads, The Abbey Cobaki creates something diverse and new to exceed expectations. The romantic chapel is located on the rivers edge, with a fountain clear in its backdrop. The Abbey Cobaki offers a offer various food, and beverage packages to cater for a wide selection of tastes and budgets to any value.

As Sarah descended down the aisle, it was evidently clear as to why Scott picked her as his person. Sarah had one of those infectious smiles on her face as she grasped her pale pink and white bouquet to her chest. One of the best parts about the start of ceremonies is watching the Grooms reaction as he finally see’s his soon to be wife, it was all worth it as Scott managed to get a little tear; not even he could hide the tears from the cameras as Sarah in all her glory was right infront front of him.

The photo section was like no other, as a team we always like to provide our clients with new and anomalous memories. Sarah and Scott Reading wanted to put their own twist on their day as golf balls played a special part in these adventurous photos. From the Groom and his men goofing around with one and another to Sarah and her party playing the ‘colour game’, it was infectious the laughter with this fun crew.

Upon reaching the reception, the fantastic part about Abbey Cobaki is the picturesque outdoor areas that look out over the hills. The venue opens up into a refurbished and rustic style experience with both Scott and Sarah, putting their own finishing touches in the room.  From the little memory board of the many adventurous encountered to the personalised notes you could provide from the party.

One of my favourite parts about being apart of weddings, is gaining a third persons perspective on the day. Being apart of Sarah and Scott’s biggest day was a journey in itself.  With each wedding we gain a new perspective on love, and where people met and how they came about finding this path.  To go from the ‘Friend zone’ as Scott clearly put it in his earlier years with Sarah.

Maliheh & Mahdi Hosseini's wedding film and photography

On the 4th of October 2015 J'adore had the enjoyment of shooting a traditional Afghan wedding. Cultural weddings are always an experience to shoot as it gives us an appreciation for the cultural values the world has to offer.

Towards the afternoon the team travelled to Beenleigh to shoot the soon to be bride and groom preparing for their exciting adventures ahead.  As the bride couldn't be exposed to the other men aside from her husband, Jess the photographer and I rose to the challenge of creating a timeless scene in the brides bedroom. Maliheh accentuated her strapless bridal gown with a silver cape she draped over herself.

Mahdi Seeing Maliheh for the first time was an experience to capture on both video and camera. To visually see his eyes widen as he took in his beautiful bride was a remarkable time to capture such an intimate moment.

Broadbeach at the Marina Mirage was our next location as we travelled back to the gold coast to shoot an exciting moment. The best thing about being apart of the team, is the new and exciting opportunities always coming up. J'adore rose to the challenge when asked to film/ photograph the pair taking off on the Gold coast helitours.

Before the party ventured back to the reception, candid shots were taken of Maliheh and Mahdi  embracing each other along the pier. Between making sure no male saw her exposed skin with the silver cape off to switching up the photo/ video is was a busy afternoon as the sun was setting down, creating the most intimate and personal moments.

The reception at the Beenleigh convention centre was intense as Jess and I battled to catch every moment. We had our work cut out for us as by custom the males and females were segregated. Everyone was dressed in the most colourful schemes as they all traditionally danced without their hijab's on; because of this we understood their need to not be captured.

By the time the team of four arrived. The girls  arrived, the festivities were ready to begin. The night started by traditional thankyou's and blessing's on the girls side as Maliheh settled down in the traditional seat 'the Kosha' (two seats in front of the guests). The crowd rose from their chairs and throughout the night said their prayers for a prosperous future in wake for both Maliheh and Mahdi.

It was a challenge for the J'adore team, as one photographer and videographer each had to be on separate sides for the traditional occasion.  Still we rose to the challenge and followed the cultural ways. It's always fun being able to be apart of a different and cultural wedding with traditions that aren't usually captured.

The night was filled with more traditions as the money dance was conducted, this followed through with a conventional Arabic dinner.

As the material was tied around both Maliheh and Mahdi waist, capturing that moment was an experience. The wedding was winding down and it was cementing in that Maliheh and Mahdi would begin their lives as husband and wife. Their were brief moments as they tied around their waists where they couldn't stop looking at each other, too inwrapped with these small enriching moments to notice the sea of guests surrounding them with joy.
