This was our third time visiting Adelaide to photograph weddings in the same family. This is such a compliment to us and we just love the chance to spend more time with the couples that we have built such a strong relationship with, this time we are off to White Hill Estate, McLaren Vale.
We met up with Josh & Christina the day before there wedding at the venue and it looked amazing, Christina is an artist, and such a talented one. She intertwined her talent into all of the details, where she handmade all of the decor details, from the signs to the macrame wedding backdrop. We just loved the rustic, elegant, and classic theme. The bouquets were one of the most creative I have seen. Made by She Runs Wild.
It helps so much when you just enjoy their company Stayc and myself left the pre-wedding meet thinking we could actually be friends with these guys, that spilled right over into the wedding day, we wet to the boys place first and had a fun morning full of laughs, josh was a groomsman as Ryans wedding which we shot but this time it was the other way around so the guys new the drill and they knew we had things covered from our end so they could just relax and enjoy.
Christina was getting ready at the venue so that was exciting as we knew it made the transition to the ceremony a-lot easier. Christina and all the girls seemed nervous but excited, she looked amazing and we could feel the tension build as we saw people arriving.
Next is my favourite part the walking down the aisle emotions flow at this moment more than any other majority of people fighting the tears in their eyes. The ceremony was a great mix of story, fun and happy tears. before we knew it our couple was walking back down the aisle and of to the photos section we go.
Big bridal parties make for fun photos section as they don’t actually need much direction all just seems to unfold naturally and this was exactly that these guys were just having fun and it showed it the photos and video.
heading into reception we felt like part of the family and we ended up staying right till the end for the sparkler exit, what a way to end an amazing wedding. Adelaide, you did it again, here is a little bit about how our couple met.
Josh and Chrissie first crossed paths during what was thought to be a simple retail transaction.
It isn’t every day you walk into a phone store and walk out with a boyfriend. Although Josh being a classic salesman got away with selling her a phone, Christina managed to get a date thrown into the deal. Talk about sweet serendipity.
When Josh discovered where Chrissie worked as a barista, he also discovered it was time to drink more barista made coffee.
After some cheeky back and forth messaging, dinner, movies and sharing their mutual love for Taylor Swift (yes Christina looks like Taylor but waaaay prettier) and plenty of wine, Josh was drawn to Chrissie’s fun-loving personality and Chrissie couldn’t resist Josh’s amazing sense of humour.
After 4 years of love, laughter and overcoming hurdles together, Josh decided it was time to make the next step in their relationship – get her a cat (and get married). To which Chrissie said ‘about time (to the cat) & yes (to the diamond ring)’
After 5 years together, we are so excited for what the future will bring us and can’t wait to start this chapter with all of our favourite people.
