One of the many benefits to being a wedding photographer is the experiences you have. You meet so many amazing people and go to so many beautiful places as well as the cultural experiences we have becoming apart of the family for the day is just something else.
This time we travelled to Canberra to do both photo and video for David and Sonja.
Meeting with them a few months prior we discussed the ins and outs of the wedding and as always we just love to catch up for a coffee & chat.
As the wedding got closer I think it’s safe to say everyone was excited for the journey! Having an early start to the day there was plenty of action, from dancing, singing, gift giving, as well as many cultural traditions as the morning progressed. As the time got nearer it was time for David & Sonja to make their way to the beautiful St Raphael's Catholic Church, both arriving in style all thanks to Valley Limousines.
Getting set up, I glanced over at David patiently awaiting his beautiful wife to be, you could feel It in the air and see it in his face just how excited, nervous and happy he was all at the same time! It’s these moments when you see the reactions and the emotions as their loved ones make their way down the aisle you take a moment to appreciate the value of true love. By far one of my favourite wedding moments.
Sonja having her makeup done by Mel Pietsch, & hair done by Missy’s Magic Styles she looked absolutely stunning. It is safe to say David is a very lucky man!
The ceremony was nothing short of amazing, before we knew it, it was time to head outside for family photos before heading off to our first photos section location.
Having a fair bit of time we travelled to 2 locations each very beautiful and unique In their own way.
As the time passed us by we made the most of each location. It was now time for reception! Having an AMAZING entrance with fireworks and fog supplied by Fireworks Australia & it was breath taking. Following this we had he first dance with the same WOW factor everyone was amazed!
The night continued with love, laughter, cultural dancing & music along with some amazing food supplied by the wonderful venue of Southern Cross Club Woden. Great venue with lots of room for the larger weddings.
We would like to give a special mention to The Cake Lady for creating a masterpiece, to Mugshots photobooth & also to Art Plaza for keeping the good times flowing!
As the night came to an end we said our goodbyes and wished both David & Sonja nothing but the very best. We cannot wait to share their special moments with you!
