Spicers Peak Lodge Wedding Photography & Videography - Kerry & Tom

Beginning our two hour adventure to the wondrous location of Spicers Peak Lodge we were pretty excited to be shooting in such a remotely gorgeous location. Arriving at around mid day we were anxious to get the ball rolling.  Perched upon the canopies, Spicer’s Peak Lodge in Maryville is one of Australia most awarded and luxurious venues, specialising in exclusive Destination Weddings, this scene is set 1,100 metres above sea level and on a perfect day, the sunset is tantalisingly perfect.  Perched at the peak of the 8,000 acre property and surrounded by picturesque mountain views, this place is perfect for both you wedding and honeymoon.

Finding Tom wondering around chatting with family & friends as he nervously awaited his big moment we caught him for a quick chat getting all the details for the girls and rooms they would be in for the preparation. Dean, Karen & Rob heading over to the girls which was in the Day Spa they got straight into it. Having her gorgeous gown made by Bertossi Wedding Dress's Paddington & hair & makeup made by Jessica-Rose Wedding Hair & Makeup she looked nothing short of spectacular.

Nat & myself started by setting up for the ceremony, which might I just add was more then beautiful, more then amazing & better then breath taking. With a stunning arbor trapped in which chiffon sheets accompanied by floral decorations either side In front of a tremendous view it was a wedding set up a girl could only dream of. Kerry & Tom had done very well to chose such a gorgeous location.

Shortly after setting up the ceremony we made our way over to the boys getting ready. Walking in to happy faces & lots of banter we wasted no time in getting started. Setting up all of the details knocking that out of the way we began to shoot the boys in their preparation, having a good mate on face time they were all having a good laugh & bonding over such a special day. We got to know the boys briefly, discussing the bucks party, and how a certain member went missing in the middle of the night. As everyone started to settle into the day a bit more, we got to getting the finer detailed shots that included the cuff links, shirt, jacket, shoes and tie. We then got straight into the getting ready part where you could definitely see Toms nerves were starting to settle in. Before we knew it, it was time for them to get down to the ceremony.

Making sure the camera’s were all good to go the time flew by and down walked the groomsmen with the bridesmaids, one of which had a bridesmaid on either side. Lucky guy! Kerry walking down the aisle you could see the emotions running wild, as time stood still for Tom as he watching his beautiful wife to be walk down the aisle I couldn't help but shed a tear at this precious moment In time.

Capturing these special moments for me is what it's all about, seeing the love two people have for one another is irreplaceable. I love what I do & I am so very lucky to do what I love.

The ceremony itself was everything they could have expected & more, with the sun just shining through the clouds as they exchanged their vows & promises to one another there was nothing but smiles & tears of joy. Throughout there were plenty of beautiful moments to capture, what made it more personal was the vows that they shared to each other, and the rings that they gave to their parents to hold until the time came to put the rings on each other fingers and seal the deal.

Following the ceremony was the photos section & my goodness was it amazingly gorgeous out there! We are so excited to be sharing these images with you all alongside the wedding video which is bound to make hearts leap with joy. We ventured to many places throughout the photo section, while still staying in the HUGE acreage around Spicer’s Peak Lodge. While starting right out the back of the building where the mountain tops are easily to be seen surrounded by lush terrain, we wanted to go exploring up the hill. The Swing set provided different shots where we got to mess around with the positions of the couple. One of my favourite locations though was up at the Northern Lookout. We got their just as the sun was just starting to set; and with limited time and the temperature rapidly declining we all knew we needed to make the most of our time here. This area provided some AMAZING silhouette shots as well as some pretty great videography footage.  After the photos section was over it was time to get right into the reception, which might I add was beautifully crafted by Angie' s Angels.

Starting with a delicious first course provided by the talented chefs at Spicers Peak Lodge everyone was enjoying the warmth & happy vibes. Before long it was time for the speeches, this is one of my favourite parts of the day. All of the funny stories, memories & times shared with loved ones being shared with the family bringing back those wonderful times like they were just yesterday. & for these two there were plenty of humours memories shared that night. Much laughter & many tears of joy as they continued on right through to the first dance. Taking place just by the fire it was gorgeous, slowly & gracefully they made their way around the room soaking up each moment as it came by. Wasn't long before everyone was on the dance floor with their partners enjoying the beautiful melody's playing in the back round supplied by none other than Joe Goodman .

Such a beautiful way to end an amazing day! We are very thankful to Kerri & Tom have us be apart of their special day and capture those precious moments for them. We are super excited to be sharing the Images & video from this awesome day.

From the team here at J'adore, we wish you nothing but pure happiness, love & joy throughout the rest of your lives together.

Congratulations!!!

Untill next time,
