We always like to provide the best quality photography and videos for our clients, no matter how long or big, they key to our passion is being able to express it. This was no different from one of our couples Dustin & Danielle. With 60 minutes of video and 90 minutes of photography being conducted in the heart of Brisbane Queensland at St Johns Cathedral, the team of two were excited to start off mid morning.
We were extremely lucky enough to score a park right across the road from the Cathedral, this gave us a little more time, to set up the tripods and get those extra creative shots without the guests coming into focus.
St John's Cathedral is home to a community which seeks to bring the best of Anglican tradition into dialogue with the issues and needs of your day. The team at St Johns, strive for open-minded conversation, seek to practice inclusion, and reflect on how beliefs might be put into action. The Cathedral itself, a renowned Brisbane landmark, serves as a magnet, where diverse people gather to worship, celebrate, seek solace, converse and learn.
The foundation stone was laid in 1901 and it was completed and consecrated in 2010.The Cathedral with its beautiful stained glass windows, its lofty ceilings and its tall, delicately proportioned columns is the perfect setting for the creation of beautiful memories and gorgeous photographsIt is a sacred space where a couple can exchange their solemn vows in the presence of family and friends and receive God’s blessing on their marriage. While this could have been a little tricky to work around as there were certain restrictions limiting us from going certain places around the alter. We were set up with four camera’s in total, capturing every second.
Before long, it was time for the team to head outside, and await the beautiful bride to be Danielle. She didn’t disappoint with a beautiful floor length gown, and her dark hair dressed up in curls. What matched her even more perfectly was the bridesmaids that entered the chapel, both Dustin & Danielle’s children. This is always a teary filled occasion, when two families are officially coming together. After the sacred vows were made, and both individuals said “I do” it was time to kiss the bride, and we were off to family photos. St Johns Cathedral, Is PERFECT! for group photos, family photos, as well as those intimate moments you want to capture on your big day. As the location has many different area’s to play around, it also has a huge open grass field, were it’s easy to organise guests.
We wish Dustin & Danielle that absolute best in all of their endeavours, we can only hope you’re as happy on your Wedding day as you will be in real life together.
