Sheraton Marina Mirage, Michael & Alena - Gold Coast Wedding Photography & Videography

We love working & returning to the Sheraton Grand Marina Mirage, whether that is us completing styled shoots or engagements, we were extra excited to return once again for Michael & Alena's BIG day, Sheraton Grand Mirage offers a superb backdrop for wedding photos and a stunning location to celebrate in style.

Our full bridal party was all getting ready at the same location which makes life easy for us but also saves a lot of time, as it means we can take images and video of the groom and then just pop upstairs to do the same for the bride. Alena looked stunning, having her make up done by the talented Jasmine Hand - @makeupbyjaz IG.  Hair styled beautifully by Kirsty Gibson- @MissBlissHair IG.

Michael and Alena's matrimony was going to be an intimate wedding ceremony on a lush green island, nestled amongst tropical gardens and sparkling blue lagoons,  with seats for up to 50 guests.

The guys arrived in style in an awesome Lamborghini supplied by Rent a Dream Car, they were already turning out to be a fun bunch to work with as they were more than keen with getting all their fun shots; this made for some excellent video footage of the crew just mucking around. It wasn't long though before we headed off back down to the ceremony and await the bride to be. The Bride & her brides maids also arrived some serious style, making the exciting journey to the venue in white Limo supplied by Golden Gate Limos.

Quickly setting up the tripods, it was crunch time. As the bride had arrived & the music was starting to play with the guests now taking their seats. Alena's six bridesmaids adjourned matching glittery grey long gowns, with their hair wrapped perfectly they were no match though for the bride herself as she was wearing a gown made by her aunty Eileen Kirby that perfectly hugged her wonderful figure.  You could tell tears were in her eye's as she descended down the aisle to her groom,  he was beyond ecstatic to have her finally by his side.

After the ceremony was conducted, we were off to the photo's section, what made this even better and more breathtaking was the fact that we were able to use the entire suite of grounds within the Sheraton. This venue provided avid opportunities to shoot stunning picture of the bride, groom & other guests.

As the sun was still high in the sky, we decided to roam first around the areas within the Sheraton, this made for some fantastic group shots. We eventually ventured to the beach, where Michael & Alena got a little extra creative with us by doing a CRAZY AMAZING dip!! As a result, we managed to get some excellent photography & videography.

As we turned up at the wedding Venue function room called the Horizons we were loving how gorgeous it looked, the styling of the event was just perfect, Beautiful Weddings Australia truly did an amazing job! . Horizons is one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic wedding venue with floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking sparkling resort lagoons and the magnificent ocean, the Horizons room captures the true beauty of Sheraton Grand Mirage, which was perfect for this couple coming all the way from Sydney.

Everyone had a great time through out the reception, the photo booth was a success that everyone took advantage of. We listening in on some great speeches by both of Michael & Alena's friends and family from around Australia. Next stop was cutting the cake, created & beautifully decorated by Yeners Cakes

As the first dance started it was so beautiful to see this couple wrapped up in each others love. We were catered to an extra special performance as the couple pulled out all the stops in order for us to get the best footage!

The show didn't stop here, the bridal party was next to take their place on the dance floor, pulling out all the stops to show of there groovy moves. The drinks flowed, the music blared and the reception charge full steam ahead into what was surely a fantastic night, to be remembered by all!

RACV Royal Pines Wedding Open Day - Styled by Wishes Events, Photography by Jadore Weddings

A short while ago now we had the pleasure of being apart of RAVC Royal Pines wedding open day, with numerous vendors this was a great opportunity for any future bride & grooms to be to come and see what is on offer. From photography, to stunning wedding gowns all the way to beautifully crafted wedding invitations all bases were covered.

RACV Royal Pines Resort is the perfect venue to make your wedding dreams comes true. Situated in the heart of the Gold Coast, midway between the magnificent beaches of Surfers Paradise and the rainforests of the hinterland, RACV Royal Pines Resort offers a variety of options to celebrate your special day. At RACV Royal Pines Resort it is our commitment to ensure the success of your wedding day. Our professional and qualified team guarantee a flawless day with our Essential, Deluxe, Platinum and Cocktail Wedding Packages designed to meet your needs and ensure a memorable day for all.

Once again arriving to a beautiful wedding styled display, Wishes Events never ceases to amaze. Having set up 2 unique ceremonies, one indoor and the other outdoor as well as two reception areas they had demonstrated a great diversity of wedding styles. I must say it is always a pleasure getting to work alongside these guys.

Not long after setting up, showcasing some of our most recent & favourite films from the past year we had some tears flowing, & to me this shows the emotion we here at Jadore capture in our wedding films, which for the team is the main goal. I recall one of the guests saying “ I don't even know these people and I fell like I am there!.” with a few tears shed they began to smile at the happiness the couple displayed on the screen had shown them.

Also playing our most popular clip of the grooms dance for his bride accompanied by his groomsman this definitely caught the attention of a fair few guests. Each time I watch this video I remember the exact feeling I felt being apart of something so exciting & unique. Overflows me with joy each & every time! & to see the enjoyment so many others get out of it truly does make my job that much more rewarding.

After interacting with a few guests we went for a walk around to see some of the other vendors. Here is a list of all who attended RACV wedding open day.

Taking the cameras along with us we took some snapshots of just about everything, so even if you weren't able to attend, you can still see all that was on display. Below the blog you will find these images as well as the links to the vendors & social media accounts in the list above.

Thankyou for taking the time to read our blog, please feel free to leave any comments.

Perfect Wedding Cake: There Is Always a Choice!

An important part of any wedding ceremony, either in Brisbane, Paris or Los Angeles, is a beautiful wedding cake. It is a symbol of prosperity that came to us from ancient times when bride and groom had to share a piece of their fortune and happiness with every welcomed guest.

But is it that easy to choose the right one, and not to get lost between latest trends, mom’s suggestions, and own desires? Let’s take a look at the most common dilemma that you may face while making you choice.

Traditional or Alternative Wedding Cake

Tradition is something that really matters, especially if you are planning to have a classical style wedding. In this case, we imagine a multiple layers white cake, covered with cream and frosting, and ornamented with the marzipan figures of newlyweds on top. It tastes sweet, like strawberry vanilla and chocolate, and is decorated with jewels, shells, and flowers. The traditional cake will always be in fashion as a part of long lasting wedding custom.

Although, there is an alternative. Depending on your wedding theme or how extraordinary you want to look, you can use a range of nontraditional cake ideas. Maybe you want to offer your guests a plate with wedding pancakes or a meringue cake? More popularity is being gained by old-fashioned fruit pies, creative colorful doughnuts, and even cake pops. By the way, have you ever tried a cake on a stick?

Wedding Cake or Cupcakes

If the ritual of cutting the cake, feeding your beloved one with the best piece, and saving the top tier for your first anniversary means a lot to you, your choice is definitely not cupcakes. Especially, if your family and guests are of a conservative kind and all of them are waiting for the “real” cake from the very beginning of the party.

But in case you are a risky one, you can save a little money and order wedding cupcakes. And here you can have as many tastes and designs as you want. Guests also can pick their favorite flavors and eat them even before the official cake-time. And you don’t have to worry about offending your dear aunt by giving her too small piece of the cake – all cupcakes are the same size, isn’t it perfects? Just keep in mind that your cupcake display has to be really good, as it substitutes a very important part of the wedding tradition – the wedding cake…

Fondant or Buttercream

What is more important in the wedding cake, its taste or design? Most of the brides will definitely choose a design as an illustration of the couple’s distinctness. This is why flawless porcelain look created with fondant icing is so highly appreciated by most newlyweds. Fondant makes the design options nearly endless. Moreover, your cake will withstand strong heat or windy weather of the outdoor events, and preserve the moist of the dough keeping it fresh for hours.

Hence, not everyone likes the taste of the fondant. Some people prefer soft and tender buttercream frosting, never-ending classic. Made from butter, sugar, and cream, it can take a flavor of your favorite chocolate or citrus zest. Buttercream is also good for a decoration; although it is not that sophisticated as fondant, but it is definitely less expensive and easily affordable.

On the other hand, why to choose between two, if you can combine both? Buttercream can be used for a taste and fondant serves perfectly for the decoration on top!

Which of these cakes will you choose for your Gold Coast Wedding? To tell you a secret, any choice will be the right one, as wedding cake is meant to reflect your own tastes and personal style, as well as symbolize long years of prosperity in the newborn family. Just remember to hire your personal Gold Coast wedding photographer to depict every moment of your happy celebration of love!

Braeside Chapel, Chris & Jessica - Gold Coast Wedding Videography

We were excited to begin shooting today with a six hour wedding videography package ahead of the team at Braeside chapel on the Gold Coast. We were quite familiar with the venue & locations around the area as this is one of the most popular wedding venues on the gold coast.  The team was also keen to be able to shoot at Emerald Lakes for the photo section, this location featuring the popular French quarter that makes for exquisite footage.

As we previously met up with Chris & Jessica to discuss how they wanted their video to be portrayed, we felt the glamorous touch was right up our alley. We were very confident in knowing we are more than capable enough to achieve that feel.

On entering Braeside's beautiful grounds, it gives you a magical feeling filled with nostalgia from a bygone era. Vintage cliché meets breathtaking opulence with modern elegance & tranquillity. We had no time to spare though as we quickly set up the tripods in ready for our stunning bride’s arrival.

As Jessica turned up in her white limousine, she looked absolutely radiant in her wedding gown as her hair was tightly pinned up whilst also having a few wisps framing her face. Chris was going to be be awe!! We always love seeing our groom’s reactions, being able to capture that truly priceless moment on camera where they can both look back at is always one of the best parts of the job. Providing endless moments for our couples to reminisce the beautiful day they became husband & wife.

After the ceremony was conducted, we zipped straight over to Emerald Lakes conveniently also located on the Gold Coast & not far away from Merrimac where Braeside is located. The French Quarter is a beautiful picturesque location providing many European looks that helped us create some perfect moments.

As we skipped ahead to the reception, we were excited to see how both Chris & Jessica met, we are never disappointed with a story.  Another favourite part of the day is the speeches, as we get to know a lot more about the couple, & who they are as people. When Chris came up to the stage, he brought forth an AMAZING speech that had tears in our eyes. From going on about those cute furniture hunting moments, to how Jessica makes Chris feel on a daily basis, we could tell how much these two truly meant to each other. We can't wait to see how this couple turns out, and what the future has to offer them!
