Gold Coast Bond University Wedding Photography - Naim & Shamiez

On April 1st we had the pleasure of shooting Naim & Shamez’s wedding located at Bond University, doing only photo I was excited to get back into the photography side of things. Mostly doing video which is my primary interest, its always nice to go back to photography as to me it feels new again, an exciting challenge non the less.

Meeting the couple a week prior to the wedding at Bond we had a brief walk around the premises, viewing the reception area & discussing the visions Naim & Shaimez had for their wedding day. Shaimez loved the architectural aspect of Bond University, thus being our main aim we used this to our full advantage. This being my first wedding shot at Bond University I was very excited ti be creating some unique images.

Getting there an hour early we had a wonder around the University, scoping out as much as possible to find the best locations around the university for the photos section. Having two hours to capture these images was amazing! Really having the time to nail each & every shot.

Naim & the groomsman had arrived it was time to get straight into it, starting with the guys we wasted no time in getting the ball rolling. Getting some nice group shots, also a few fun ones with the patterned socks they all had on we breezed right through it.

Not long after we had finished shooting the groomsmen it was time for the first look, Naim waiting patiently to see his gorgeous bride Shaimez, you could see just the excitement building with each moment that passed. Walking up behind him with her giggles in the background his smile continued to grow bigger & bigger. With a few words he turned around to be in instant ore of his beautiful wife. I think at this point we were all in ore of how beautiful Shaimez looked, this truly was such a special moment & we felt very privileged to have been there to witness & capture this wonderful moment in time for the both of them.

It was now time to start shooting the Bride & Groom together, this really is one of my favourite parts of photo, getting creative and capturing the excitement of love combining. & In such a unique location who wouldn't have been excited?! Starting with the tower this was a bit of a mission but it was well worth it. This image will have definitely been one my favourite shots of the day! I am very excited to be sharing this shot with both Nail & Shaimez the following day. Taking some more shots down below the magic continued to flow.

Once the entire bridal party had arrived we began the group shots, which for me is always a highlight. After completing this section we got a few more of the bride & groom before heading up to the pine forrest, which with the sun setting at this point we were able to get a beautiful golden background.

By this stage it was now time to head up to reception and get prepared for the entrance of the bridal party & the gorgeous bride Shaimez. Naim & the rest of the bridal party entered with nothing but huge smiles and beams of happiness as everyone awaited the big moment. Soon after Shamiez & her father walked through the doors, you could see the emotions in the room rising as she made her way to Naim.

The reminder of the night was filled with beautiful vows to one another, heart felt speeches, awesome dancing & smiles all round. It really was a true pleasure to be apart of such an amazing experience & share in this with Naim & Shamiez.

From the crew here at J’adore, we wish them nothing but happiness, love & laughter as they begin their journey as husband and wife.

Thank you for taking the time to read our blog, we appreciate it greatly. Feel free to share with friends & family to share in this wonderful experience.

Gold Creek Chapel & Rydges Canberra, Nick & Narisa Wedding Photography & Wedding Videography

The bride alongside her family & bride’s maid's all got ready together in a beautiful room located at Rydges Capital Hill. As the reception was just downstairs everyone was getting quite comfortable.

The bride wore a stunning ball gown dress & her bride’s maid’s in pink to add a splash of colour. Narisa had decided to make the revealing of her gown a surprise, even to her bride’s maids. All but one, her maid of honour who helped her into the dress then returned to the lounge room to reveal this gorgeous gown to the rest of the girls, at this moment we began to get straight into it, getting some gorgeous shots of the big reveal.

The groom & his groom's men look very dashing in their suits with pops of pink in the ties to match the girls. The boys all helped Nick into his suit with Mum wiping away a tear as she looked at her handsome son getting ready to go marry the love of his life. Everyone was quick to grab the tissues & the Rakia to start the celebration of this amazing love story.

Having Narisa's Dad come in from outside so we could get some cheeky first-look shots as Narissa walked out of the elevator & into the arms of Dad. Who gave her a big hug & a kiss, carefully assisting her down the stairs & into the awaiting vintage classic cars outside.

As the rumble of all the cars set to take them to the chapel, the emotion started to set in, a few big breaths & some even bigger smiles they set off to Gold Creek Chapel to meet the boys & start the first day of the rest of there lives and Mr & Mrs.

After the ceremony, the bells rang out in song after the couple walked out of the chapel & down the stairs we did some group photos & of the family. Instantly whisking the newlywed couple & their bridal parties to the nearby Lennox Gardens where we got to incorporate some of their Chinese background into some amazing photos and video, within groves of Ivy and beautiful Chinese gateway & stunning lakeside views.

As we headed back to Rydges Capital Hill for entrance we quickly popped inside to get some lovely set-up shots of the venue's stunning layout. As they entered into the sounds of wolf whistles and loud applause of their friends & family it was finally time for them to rest, relax and take in what this lovely venue had to offer.

Quoted from their website – ‘The tranquil and inviting atmosphere offered by our Canberra wedding venues provides the ideal setting for your intimate and romantic wedding reception.

The grand entrance at Rydges Capital Hill Canberra is alive with gorgeous auburn foliage in the autumn and vibrant cherry blossoms in the spring. The enchanting beauty flows across the foyer and expands into the mesmerising atrium, an ideal wedding venue in Canberra for your special ceremony or cocktail reception.'

We believe this to be very true, the team here at J’adore love every chance we get to work with a gorgeous venue such as this.

Their cake was a croquembouche, along with the Rakia being shared around the room, with dancing & singing accompanied by some hilarious speeches spoken by the fathers of the bride & groom. Every now & again the DJ played traditional Croatian Music & everyone jumped up with joy to do the Kolo their big night went off, and you could see the pure & utter enjoyment everyone was having celebrating this tremendous day of two becoming one.

Weddings At Tiffany's, Gold Coast Wedding Photography & Videography - Steven & Janina

Having met the couple previously we had a bit of an idea as to how the day was going to go. Turning up at Spicer's Retreat,  20 minutes away from the ceremony location. As there were three of us shooting all together between photo & video, we wanted to capture the best possible footage, so we opted for Steven to get ready outside. With the surreal sounds of Gardner fall breaking along the rocks just behind the cabin. Alongside Steven was his entourage of groomsmen and best friends all their that morning to provide a positive experience, right before the Groom was off to marry his bride to be.

After getting a few quick shots of the groom, we sprinted off to Janina's place, a cute cottage tucked away where her bridesmaids were helping her get ready.

One interesting thing about Janina's wedding dress & what it made is all the more special besides the fact that she was abut to marry the man of her dreams wearing it was the history behind it. This dress prior to Janina's big day has been worn by her family members which made it all the more special. In saying this, we can say for sure that she looked exquisite, Steven's jaw would be dropping to the floor the moment he see's his beautiful wife to be!

As we got to Wedding at Tiffanies in Maleny we were excited to be able to shoot a chapel ceremony. Tiffany’s Chapel offers you & your guests an unsurpassed, sweeping view to the magnificent Glasshouse Mountains & beyond to Brisbane & Moreton Island. Tiffany’s Chapel has been exquisitely & elegantly decorated in neutral tones with antique pews, chandeliers & polished hardwood timber flooring. Tiffany’s Chapel can seat 120 of your closest friends & family members in air conditioned comfort.  We were right,  As soon as Janina walked through those doors, we were sure to see Steven's heart stop, if only just for a moment. We love doing our job alone just to see these beautiful key moments in peoples lives.

Skipping ahead, we were lucky enough to have an awesome crew together for our photos sections, what was easier was the fact that the guests were close by so we were able to not only get some amazing intimate moments for Steven and Janina, including the bridal party, but we also. Between getting the car and chapel photo to the swing set challenge that made for some AMAZING footage, we were left with soo many wonderful options at the end.

The first thing you noticed when you walked through those reception doors overlooking the Maleny hinterland with exquisite views was the sweet smell of caramel that just infiltrated the whole reception area. We had a large number of guests trickling in, all people that influenced and shaped Steven & Janina's life in some way, so it was excellent that the catering service provided ample room for us to place the tripods in place before the speeches started. Looking back at the speeches, they were all so wonderful, one that mainly stood out along all of the others was Nina's little brothers speech, between the humour.

The night continued to move along, as the cake was cut and served, and their first dance as a married couple was conducted. Everyone came out onto the dance floor to show the camera a few of their moves, and it was a sure tale sign that Steven & Nina were having an Amazing night!

We can only hope our love for capturing your wedding both with photography, and videography has been shown through these images.

Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Ceremony & Lakelands Reception - Adrian & Melissa - Gold Coast Wedding Video

We love shooting at the Intercontinental on the Gold Coast, as we are avidly familiar around the whole venue we are well aware of all the best spots for the photo's section. This was exciting for us as we got to be apart of another wedding at the beautiful Sanctuary Cove chapel. The gorgeous non-denominational chapel features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Coomera River, featuring a mezzanine floor for unique photography opportunities. Designed for privacy from the rest of the resort, the chapel also offers cushioned pew seating for 80 guests, an ornate pipe organ, glass-topped registry table, & a white marble aisle.

We readily turned up at the glass chapel, videography gear in hand ready to start the day. As we quickly set up the tripods, while also checking to make sure the audio was in check, we decided to get some more detailed shots of the chapel for the couple’s video, as it's always great to have and look back on.

The chapel quickly filled up, which meant the beautiful bride was going to be arriving very soon, we were excited to see what the ceremony had in store for us all. After some personal vows that had some tears glistening with many of the guests, we were outside conducting a butterfly ceremony in honour of Melisa's sister that had passed. This beautiful butterfly releasing tradition. Releasing butterflies at weddings has also become a popular new tradition. It is an environmentally friendly alternative to rice, confetti & balloons … which is a beautiful way to celebrate your union!

As we used the Intercontinental to our advantage we got to use some of the best spots available throughout the whole venue including the reflection pool. We eventually left to go to the LakeLands Golf Course for the beautiful reception.  After some very heartfelt speeches, everyone got right into music & the dancing begun, very positive we left the night on a high. We wish Adrian & Melisa their very best in their newly married life!!
