Set just minutes out of Brisbane city Grant & Melissa tied the knot at St Lucia’s University of Queensland. The morning started with the team splitting into two, half spending the morning with boys and the other with girls. The girls got ready with a gorgeous view of the Brisbane CBD, river and blue skies.
The weather gave some nerves as some thick clouds loomed over the Northside of town but thankfully they stayed away. We got to hang out with the girls up until we had to head to the wedding and it was all smiles and relaxed vibes giving us awesome natural shots. Melissa having her makeup done by Dollhouse Makeup Artistry, hair by Jody Callan & dress by Made with love bridal she looked stunning! It was safe to say Grant is a very lucky man.
After the girls finished getting ready we all made our way to the ceremony at UQ, where Melissa stunned the intimate ceremony as she walked down the isle to her excited soon to be husband, Grant. The beautiful ceremony delivered by Sam O'sullivan flowed with genuine laughs, tears and heartfelt vowels. Grant and Melissa were now husband and wife!
The team got to spend a couple hours with the newlyweds taking photos and doing video at the always perfect UQ grounds along with the little kicks of sun flicking through leaves we were able to capture the golden glow of the afternoon.
The evening was fast approaching and it was almost time for the reception formalities to begin so we quickly headed into Southbank’s Rydges which offered an absolute spectacular view of the CBD as the sun set behind us.
As the evening continued great memories were shared and family were bridged by distance but a surprise performance was organised by a close friend which definitely caught everybody by surprise. Having the reception at Rydges Southbank games were played, with an fun twist involving parents and dancing shoes were worn. The night had a fantastic atmosphere filled with live music from Music4You, tunes, In The Booth Photo Booth fun and great company. Their beautiful cake was supplied by Ising on the cake by Donna Sing, & it looked amazing!
It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of such a memorable day.
